Missing Keyboard

Hi all, I can't believe I've used Stage Traxx for almost 3 years now and never realized this forum was here.
Anyway, am very happy with the app and use it regularly for gigging. There are two small issues I get when using though and wonder if anyone has had and knows how to fix them. I use my iPad to play backing tracks connected via the headphone socket naturally and also have an AirTurn foot pedal (106) for starting/selecting tracks as I play guitar alongside.

Issue 1: During setup at a gig when I switch on AirTurn pedal it often my iPad simply does not connect to it. There is no consistency with this because sometimes it connects fine. It has never failed to work once I've established the connection but I find that most times I have to reboot my iPad and even forget the device and reconnect within Bluetooth settings to get it to connect.

Issue 2: With my AirTurn pedal connected the iPad does not present a keypad when I want it to. For example, if I want to search a playlist for a particular song I touch the search field but the keypad does not pop up. So I cannot search at all. Has anyone else experienced this and know of a fix please?

Hi Brian,

regarding the first issue: make sure you are running the latest Stage Traxx release 2.10.5. Airturn continues to update its API and the latest release uses the latest API which should improve the connection handling.

The second issue can not be fixed as long as you use Airturn devices because they connect to the iPad as a bluetooth keyboard. So the iPad thinks a keyboard is connected and will not display the onscreen keyboard. Therefore some Airturn devices have a button to enable the keyboard by temporarily disabling the Airturn device.

Works as described now thanks Peter. i have another small query. I accidentally deleted a Stage Traxx playlist (called NYE - New Year's Eve) and can get it back from a backup but the latest one was done in late summer so will be around a dozens new songs out of date. Backups seem to overwrite all playlists so is there a way of merely restoring one playlist from a backup, or perhaps even create it from a text file in the right place?

Trying to save an hour's effort temporarily restoring it so i can write i down before creating new song by song again

Unfortunately there is no selective restore available.

I guess you will need to recreate the playlist. If the songs have been part of another playlist you will at least not loose any songspecific settings. Once a song is no longer part of any playlist, it will be deleted in the database. In that case you will also have to recreate the songspecific settings.
