ST3 backup file won't upload to icloud

my latest ST3 backup file won't upload to iCloud ,i have been using imazing to transfare the backup file from my ipad pro using USB,to PC then from PC to my ipad air ,since the latest upgrade os 14 upgrade my ipad pro refuses to connect to my pc or ipad air 2 so tried upload to cloud, it just says upload failed, but it will upload the folder containing all the ST3 wave files, but not the backup file , anybody any ideas cheers

Hm, iCloud supports file sizes up to 50GB. So I don't think file size would be a problem. What is the name of the file? Maybe it has some characters iCloud does not like.

I had that problem before, just renamed the file to "ST3Backup" and it saved fine. It is date stamped already in iCloud.

no non of that works its seems like icloud won't except the file extension ,.st3 , i can put the files in another folder and it uploads fine but in its own folder with the st3 ext just keeps coming up upload failed ,

In which folder does it upload fine and what is the folder name when it does not upload?

just click a new folder, no name add all the wavefile from st3 2.8 gig copy and paste from the st3 folder and it will upload ,but copy and paste the st3 folder with the st3 backup with the st3 file ext and it won't upload to cloud ,,says upload failed it don't matter what you name the backup file

Oh I see, you are trying to upload the whole Stage Traxx folder. This is a special iOS type folder. You can't upload that to the cloud. You also don't need to upload it. Just upload the backup file. A full backup always contains your audio files. So no need to copy audio files and backups to the cloud.

no not trying to upload the stage traxx folder just the full backup file but it has the. ""st3 ext i'm just trying to upload the backup so i can put on my st3 on my other ipad

Can you post the complete filename of the backup? I would like to reproduce the problem.

it don't matter what file name you use, the last one was just name "backup" the results are always the same upload failed if its in a ST3 backup folder ,,,,, just one other point it will upload the data backup with the same ST3 ext but not the one with the wave files in i'e full backup,, just one more thing all my wave files are 24bit 48hz 59 songs 2.3 gig total and 5 gig free on iCloud,

I have really no idea why it won't upload from the ST3 folder. If it was a size restriction you would not be able to upload it from another folder. And the song format should not make any difference. iCloud does not know that there are songs embedded in the backup.

I'm afraid you will have to keep using your workaround because the whole upload is managed by the Apple Files app.
