Let me say up front, this is behaving 'correctly', and how I expected it would, when viewed on a stand-alone ST device, or Host device in Network Session setup. It is only Client devices where this occurs. Not a major issue, but it would be nice for there to be consistent experience. I had hoped to use this feature for Singers in my band to give them more screen-real estate for lyrics pane during songs, but the 'not ideal' behaviour meant that they preferred the less distracting, but less screen real-estate path of keep sidebar open to see Playlist.
It may be caused by similar reasons as this other issue I recently raised - https://support.stagetraxx.com/d/4964-song-with-autoplay-on-client-lyrics-quickly-scroll-back-to-top-at-end-of-song/6
Stage Traxx Version/Build: ST 4.0.11
Device & OS Version: Host: iPad 9th Gen, iOS 26.4.2, Client: iPad 9th Gen, iOS 26.4.2, iPad Pro iOS 26, iPad 5th Gen iOS 16.
Issue Description:
Scenario:
- You have Network Session with Client/s connected to Host
- You have a Playlist with a song set to Autoplay into next song on playlist
- You have "Hide Sidebar in Playback" enabled
On the Client devices only (i.e. Host does not display this behaviour), when using Autoplay to transition between songs, the Sidebar will momentarily appear, then disappear. This behaviour is not ideal, and is distracting.
Steps to Reproduce:
Set up Network Session with Client and Host device
Create a Playlist with 2 songs and set song 1 to Autoplay into song 2.
Play song 1 (you can scroll to near end of song - no need to play through entire song) then observe the behaviour of the Sidebar at the end of the song as ST briefly Pauses playback on transition.
Expected Behaviour: Same as Host device or stand-alone ST instance - if songs are transitioning due to Autoplay, do not briefly display Sidebar
Actual Behaviour: At song transition, the sidebar briefly pops open then closes.
