Double tap, on non playing song opens a large search bar

Hi Peter,

I thought I would pitch this idea ..on the basis that the search window is a bit small for some of us.

Ok so this is what I’m thinking, you are mid song and the audience shout for a request, you double tap on any song in the playlist ( which currently does nothing on my setup) and a much larger search window appears, you type in your search criteria etc, so the current song ends and the requested song is ready to play, you play the song, close this window and st4 returns to where you would have been in your normal set.

Just a suggestion, I think there could also be an option in future to allow users to configure what double tap does …for me open search, or open another menu item .

Obviously Peter I don’t expect anything for nothing and would be happy to have a fee for upgrades such as this,

If this was an option on ST4 it would be a great feature. ST4 Steadily grows better every update, this option would get my vote.

It’s fine the way it is , the problem is, it’s not always exposed in playlist mode like in song mode.
It is much harder to use in playlists where it’s needed mostly , can it be made like it is in song mode so we can quickly use it at all times if needed?
This maintains consistency as well.

Hi Peter, I’m on iPad and iPhone, where exactly is the status bar option ? I can’t find it to comment if it’s a good thing or not.

Because I use windows mode, I often find it’s easy to hit the 3 coloured dots, so I would avoid the option you suggest to be honest. I get Damirs point, I like the way the search bar floats in folder and song view, it would be nice if this happened in playlists too.

I think the double tap on a non playing song would be a great navigational aid in future, I’m sure I’ll think of something daft.
