Highlight position not at the top of screen ST4

Hello Peter,
I have 6 different devices, where this happens. I have almost all of my songs time coded and in the settings is the highlight position is set to “top”.
In all of my devices the lyrics go up to about 2cm from the top and don’t ever go all the way to the top.
I have some long verses or choruses in some of my songs and can’t see all of them and have to manually scoll a little. I don’t want to change the size of the lyrics either. This was an issue in ST3 also, but you fixed it and it workes great.
How can I fix this in ST4?

Just checked (ST 4.0.5, 9th Gen iPad iOS 26.3) and what I'm seeing is a consistent 4 lines of text being left between the top of the lyric pane and the highlighted lyric line. My device is set at default font size and modifier.

Now, this does change if you start changing the Size Modifier (https://stagetraxx.com/docs/v4/settings/general/lyrics-chords-pdf/#size-modifier) setting. If you increase the size modifier (i.e. text gets larger) then the number of lines between top of pane and highlighted line is reduced.

Will wait for @peter to comment but the way it is operating may be intentional to factor in people changing to larger fonts. If this is the case, I guess there is still a point to be made of 'top alignment' being 'top' irrespective of any font size or scaling changes.

That's intentional. The app will show a bit more content above the current line to allow you a better glance on the context of the highlighted lyrics line.

That’s fine as long as you don’t open the mixer and need to see current lyrics and chord line at the same time .

It would be even finer if it allowed a larger font to be displayed while the mixer is open, not everybody needs lots of lyrics in display but all need to see the current lyrics chords , we should not be penalised for the fact that the software does not utilise the lyrics space wisely
When mixer is open, this then stops me from using mutes on screen , so the added features become limiting in their use and opening a mixer becomes dangerous, I need my large lyrics/chords at all times.
If you don’t, that’s good for you.

That is your opinion, this is about getting everything working perfectly it seems like you are more interested in arguing a point than seeing it for what it is.
I am a perfectionist when I do things they need to be the best that can some people aren’t and that’s ok too.

Stop twisting things around and have some valuable input or else just use ST and allow others to perfect it.

Damir yes working perfectly for you in most cases, no one else. No I’m not more interested in that at all but sometimes you need to just accept things as they are and move on.
