Hi Peter!!
First, THANK YOU for StageTraxx 3..it is a GREAT piece of software and I know that is because of You and your hard work and commitment. Thank you, sincerely.
I run ST3 ver 3.1.2 (4816) and I have a second Ipad running at a distance (as a lyrics scrolling monitor, like a teleprompter). I notice that both ipad dont sync exactly the same. One may be a little ahead of the other. It is a consistant problem. Which mean I may not see a line I have to sing at the right time. I should have it all memorized..but sometimes I forget. Also, I notice that if I edit the lyrics in the master unit..by adding returns to allow blank space to scroll..until another lyrics comes up....That sometimes doesn't actually work. Does ST3 ignore the returns added in editing text? (and yes i do hit save and done, then exit the song and then go to another song and come back, so the edits can be 'updated")
Lastly, If I am scrolling a song and adjust the scroll speed..the slave unit doesn't change its speed at all. Can any of this be fixed in the next version? Just asking. My efforts to timestamp-around my scrolling issues have mixed results. To add all the time stamps should be convenient..but it becomes difficult because the text size on the edit screen is fixed and i have to somehow put those timestamp in between tiny little letters. i tried a toothpick and it wasnt reliable.
Thank you for any reply. -George Barry

The host sends the current timestamp every 5 seconds to the clients. So if your clients are not in sync, they either have a serious problem with their clock chip, or your network lag is very high. Are you using a dedicated WiFi network?

Blank lines are rendered in the lyrics view. Please post an example.

Version 3.2 will have a Setting to use larger font sizes in the lyrics editor. That should help with placing the cursor. Did you know that Holding the Spacebar key will Switcher keyboard to a trackpad to position the cursor?

Peter,
Thank ypu for the reply. I just played a performance yesterday and after a few months with no shows because COVID, we were relieved..and people were grateful just to have live music, so they forgave the occasional bad lyrics. But, I have some work to do to make this work properly. Since my above post I have learned from the manual how to properly time stamp..and that IS very helpful. It id a JOB to do that for 10 hours of songs (!!!!) ...but It can be done and I will try to get to it. The scroll speed feature is more practical I feel for me and many others..as it can be done in Realtime. And ALSO if the 2nd monitor is lying horizontal, while the host is verticle..it is a problem that can be fixed, again, in real time. I think anyone in my situation would prefer some kind of real time fix. And it would increase the value of StageTraxx3 to anyone. Thank you again for the explanation, I'll work on it from my side..as I know you will from your side (on 3.2) and I thank you. -GB

After more exploration, I feel time stamping is the way to go. It takes a lil effort but works well. Thank you, Peter. The ability to increase font size in lyrics mode WILL be helpful, to be sure..but it certainly can be done right now with the existing font. This issue is SOLVED,for me. Thank you.
