Metronome sounds not working properly

iPad 6th Generation iOS 17.7.10

If a metronome is added to Song the sound of the metronome is an electronic ‘bleep’ and not consistent with the one selected in Play Settings. In fact choosing a different metronome sound in Play settings simply transposes the ‘bleep’ to a different note. However this doesn’t seem to be a problem on my iPhone 16 or mix with iOS 26
