peter On further thought I am still convinced the current way the sidebar is handled is the easiest to understand. When the sidebar is opened and you change orientation, it stays open and the other way around. I will not make this context dependent and therefore harder to understand.
I have no issues with the sidebar settings option as is.
I have Hide sidebar in playback ON.
For the reason I want to see my song list on end of song in portrait mode as there is no song list available in this view.
I am talking about the way changing orientation forces me to a window I don’t need.
We are talking iPhone here, as iPad does not suffer from this logic.
Example
In play mode
In Landscape mode I have my song and lyrics , if I turn to portrait I get song list , why!
I don’t need song I need lyrics at all times as song plays.
Now I am forced to switch views, this is unnecessary extra work.
If I was in STOP mode then I could see the point of going to song mode in portrait as I might want to choose another song.
In play mode I need my lyrics on the change of orientation instead.
If I am in portrait mode and choose lyrics if I turn to landscape it remains as lyrics.
If in portrait I choose song in landscape I get song and lyrics.
I suppose my only issue is when in play mode changing orientation when in landscape with song and lyrics I expect lyrics when turning to portrait as lyrics are more important then song choice at that moment.
So I expect a logic change when in play mode and changing orientation from landscape to portrait to show me lyrics instead.
I hope this makes sense.
The other option which I would like the most but it’s not possible, is have song lyrics showing in both orientations
Where in portrait you place the song selection below the lyrics which I think might work better than landscape because I only need a few lines of lyrics at any one time anyway. This would simplify changing orientation as it would just give you the same view you have chosen.
Anyway hope you see my problem ,
I need my lyrics at all times.
Cheers
