I'm very happy! 😃
This increases the usability on small screens a lot, as I see it.
Remaining Issue
Regarding my notoriously thorough testing:
I can confirm Damir — it’s still possible to make it unresponsive if the current song’s name (not including the next song) is longer than the visible area.
Steps
- Create a song with a name considerably longer than the visible area in the scrolling top bar.
It may need to be longer than the combined width of the buttons, the clock, and the scroll area just as @Damir suspects but I'm not sure hiding the buttons is the cause when it looks like only one scroll direction causes the problem.
- Make it scroll.
On bigger screen, macOS and iPadOS, you can recall it by making the app windows considerably smaller.
Of course, it’s a minor thing, and it could also be avoided by simply not using such long names,
but on an iPhone mini in portrait mode, it’s actually quite easy to end up with a song title that long, just a few characters, since the scroll area is so small.
So now that the root cause is starting to become clear, this might be possible to fix as well. 🙂
