Track Naming

(Somewhat of a continuation of the previous message track management)
I am generally liking the interface for multitrack management in ST4-- very clean and easy to navigate.

Given the track collapse question (previous post today), it looks like the mixer view cant tell me what any given track is unless I manually name each of the tracks per song -- is this correct?

Naming the BUSes helps, but if the tracks collapse, what was 4,5,6 might now be 1,2,3 if there were no tracks 1,2,3, so naming would help. But if I have to name each track of each song manually (100+ songs in ST3, and growing) thats a lot of work. Is there perhaps a method to extract the track name from the file name (even if only the first 8 Characters) to simpllfy this?

I've got 350+ songs and it took me a good while to name & color code them all. And then doing regions. Oof. I've got so many hours into managing this library!

When you name your buses, you can see the bus name in the track channel on top. That should help already with migrated songs from ST3. Displaying the file name is problematic as there is not enough room and due to the filename restrictions in ST3 you most likely start the filename with the song name. So the first couple of charaters in the filename are the same for all tracks in a song.
