Change songs immediately with one click?

Hi, I hope everyone is doing great.

I’ve got a colleague that runs his backing tracks on another app (a normal music player actually). Many times, he changes songs in the middle of the live performances, without cuts, just one click, changing immediately from one song to another. Is Stage Traxx capable of doing that too? Change in the middle of a song to another with just one click? Is there a mode that behaves like that?

I’m trying to convince him to use this much much more awesome app but he’s used to that workflow.

OrozP Well, hard to help if you don't explain why that's 'not it', because that is exactly how people achieve what you are describing with Stage Traxx.

Can you explain why a crossfade, which can be configured as 0 second fade (i.e. immediate cut over) is "not it"?

A second iPad, both connected to an external mixer, is the answer. There's a reason DJs have 2 platters on their deck!

I’ve used crossfade before but not like this. And thanks to your replies I’ve been digging further. I didn’t realize that you could put a 0 length fade and make it work.

I just would need another thing to be able to mimic my friends workflow: can the crossfade be seen on the main page? Crossfade works great but I still have to do a couple of clicks to achieve the seamless change between songs: I need to click on the song name (at the bottom), then on the lyrics page click the crossfade button, then click on “tap to close” to return to the main page.

Would like to that with one click but I don’t know if the crossfade button can be shown on the main page.

We know, that's why we pushed back as we were pretty confident we did understand the problem and that you had dismissed the response without understanding the feature properly 🙂
