peter Tbh, for me it doesn't really matter, because I don't use regions. I was just trying to offer a "compromise" 🙂
Anyway, for me "darker" means "done" or "unavailable", "lighter" means "not done yet" or "available". Just like anything else in any user interface: greyed out > not available, nothing happens if you click/tap.
Also in any DAW, if something is greyed out, it means it's not gonna play, if it's lit up, it will play.
