Cheap 8 channel sound card

I can confirm that the Cubilux 7.1 USB sound card sold on Amazon ($30) is compatible with both Mac and IOS using Stage Traxx 3. I think this a reasonable cost for 8 channels of 44.1k/48k audio.

That is indeed very affordable. What are its channels called when they appear in StageTraxx?

The available channels are Cubilux Surround Sound 01 - 08. Or as stereo pairs Cubilux Surround Sound 01/02 - 07/08. Also, the separate headphone output has a DAC that supports up to 384K 24 bit.

Main downside might be the mini jack connectors. Apart from that, surely a nice value option for multiple outputs.

peter yeah, that’s very basic. Many here seem to go directly to a digital mixer (DL32 or CQ20 in my case) but if you go into an analog mixer, this interface is a cheap backup or getting started option.

How about the Behringer UMC 1820, has anyone used it with success?

I run the UMC204HD (4 outs) which runs great. I don't see why the 1820 should not work.

Hello, do you use it directly from Ipad (stage trax) to UMC1820. Where do you configure output from UMC1820? I need some quick and easy solution. Can you describe it a little? Thank you very much for help.

I did test the UMC1820 on an Ipad. I used an Apple USB adapter that also provided a charging connection to keep the Ipad charged. It shows up in Stage Traxx as 10 available audio busses. Now that the new Stage Traxx version supports 16 audio busses, the UMC1820 has an optical ADAT expansion port to add an additional 8 audio busses if you needed it. The ADA8200 is a little pricey for 8 channels. If I had need for that many busses, would probably instead purchase Behringer X32 rack now that the price has dropped. Way more features that are useful for live performance.
