ST4 Build: 2112
Current Limitation / Use Case:
When using scroll by timecode, the scroll skips at timecodes.
Without backtracks or a metronome, start or playing might drifts out of timcoded sync, lagging or ahead of current lyric.
These skips make it harder to follow the lyrics and chords.
With small chunks (e.g., lines), scrolling jumps constantly. With larger chunks (e.g., Verse or Chorus), it becomes even harder to locate the current play position after a skip, and the text may move off-screen before or after the skip.
Proposed Feature:
Introduce linear scrolling between timecodes.
Benefit / Impact:
ST already provides beautiful, smooth linear scrolling without timecodes and timecodes helps a lot with parts of sparse lyrics.
Linear timecode-based scrolling makes following along easier and tolerates slight mismatches with timecodes.
Implementation Idea (optional):
Add a setting to enable or disable linear scroll with timecode, if someone like to retain the current behavior
