Wireless networks that work at home can still lead to desaster when in a full room with lots of mobile phones. Do yourself a favor and buy a good wifi router that also works on 5g. Even good routers can struggle sometimes on 2.4g.
I can recommend the Airport Express if you don't have digital mixers from Behringer. That router is easy to setup and the 5g network is stable. Unfortunately the handshake with Behringer mixers does not always work. As I use Behringer mixers, I have switched to the MikroTIK hap ac lite. That one is also rock solid and even features power delivery over ethernet. The downside is that the configuration is very complex and you need a solid knowledge of networking.
In the end, any wireless router is better than adhoc networks, but strong routers are even better.
