peter Fixed in build 1991.
I just found another issue,
Where a segment stays flashing continually but the colour of the surrounding rim is not white its actually the segment colour , this segment keeps flashing while everything else behaves normally , i can still select a next segment and it flashes normally ,plays ok, and even if this stuck segment plays through , it still remains flashing , solution is exit to another song then return to this song .
I have tried hard to figure out what pattern triggers this without luck so far, will report if i stumble on it.
But in the process of doing this i came across other issues,
Once you commit to selecting a next segment there is no going back you have no cancel to this.
Before we go to end of segments and we can exit now its not there, it simply jumps from last to first segment ,
I think this was not ideal anyway as it could take forever if you had lots of segments.
Suggestion
On foot pedal assignments you give us a cancel option that makes it great because we can program all needed commands on one switch , single tap forward, double tap backward, long press cancel, DONE!
With finger control on interface using assignable buttons , one button left movement , the other right movement, both pressed together cancels the next selection, again very fast and simple.
On the segments themselves , as song is playing choosing next segment makes it flash A LONG PRESS ON THE SAME segment CANCELS the next choice.
This provides all different users very easy manipulation of audio segments.
At the moment if you happen to select the same segment as next you have no warning this segment will play again the ARROW is indicating wrong information telling you next door segment will play yet you are about to get a repeat of the now playing segment, this is wrong.
As i said from the start i don't like the arrow and the menu on the audio segment its creating a very confusing way of operating and giving us unnecessary functions that are getting in our way instead of helping us.
I am liking the new audio segments idea but its just hasn't hit that sweet spot yet, its very close
One step at a time and we'll get there.
Great work Peter hope you have had a good rest and are reenergised to battle on.
Theres lots of good things i could say about ST4 but nows the time to point out the bugs.
