ST4: Option to disable audio region "live arrangement"

For those that don't use the feature to loop/skip/jump-to regions during live playback, I think it would offer a cleaner UI with fewer places to tap by mistake if the there was a configuration that allowed us to disable that feature.

The result would be audio regions that have no arrow(or other icon) and that don't react to taps in any way.

Vedeja I reported this earlier and suggested a better alternative , simple solution just make it like ST3.

I do use the audio segments , and I agree with you I would rather not have the existing logic of the mode selection as it is dangerous on stage and the arrows give you misleading information when jumping to different segments , every time I try to jump I get unwanted loops or stops or skips.
Disabling everything is also not the answer it’s just recreating the operational logic that’s needed.
We had same issue with ST3 untill it was massaged to a point where it works for everyone.
This area needs careful attention and not a simple tweak.

Yes I understand what you need , what I am saying is if the logic of selecting modes was made more user friendly you would not need to disable anything in settings it would simply work as in ST3 .
Have you had this need in ST3?
As is, I agree with you I also would rather turn this off in settings and only use foot pedals or Action buttons instead as it is too dangerous to use because you end up with unwanted selections.

Yes, in fact I think the suggestion applies to ST3 as well. But it is less of a problem because there are only two modes (normal and repeat). So if you happen to tap a region by mistake, it is easier to undo the issue.

Totally agree, especially frustrating if you don't ever need any of that stuff but only need finger simple selection of audio segments.The trouble we both have is a lot of users use foot pedals and assignment buttons and don't see any issues with existing finger control of audio segments, so we are just going to have to wait and see how things turn out in the end.
I also think there are visual highlighting issues still present in this area which does not help either of us , but hopefully they will get sorted out soon and then perhaps as a last resort a disable function in settings might be the final fix.
