Opening song list sluggish

Not sure if this was introduced lately or was there.

The more your selected song is to the bottom of the list, the more sluggishness you see when opening the songlist

Closing it is nice and smooth.

There is also a visible scrolling taking place when you open it. Although the last song is selected and when I closed it, the list was scrolled to the bottom, when I open it, it show the top of my song list and then scrolls to the bottom.

There is also no scroll bar, but I don’t miss it. Just noting, in case it’s related 😂

Suggestion: maybe making the alphabet letter that shows up in the upper left a bit bigger and highlighted with the tint color would help. Currently it’s pretty hard to spot.

Well, so it is! I wonder when that went?I guess every few pixels saved is worth it and it was incredibly small so hard to use as a touch/drag target. Possibly also a bit redundant given there is the 'rolodex' '# - Z' on the right side of the song list pane for quick navigation.

LOL! I have never seen that until you mentioned it! In case I'm not alone, it is essentially making the grey capital letter 'sub-section headers' in the song list 'sticky' just below and to the left of the Search box as you scroll up/down. It's a nice feature, but feels like it would be better if a better contrasted colour than Grey on Black. Based on the default theme, possibly the Orange used on rolodex and buttons/menus might work.

Apple decided to either show the alphatical index or scroll bars in a list. But not both at the same time. The only way to show both would be to implement the list views as custom views myself.

The section headers use the same font settings and colors as in ST3. But if the proposed change gets a number of upvotes, I could adjust font and color.
