In portrait mode when you touch the lyrics screen the assignable buttons disappear if you than go to landscape mode and hit play the assignable buttons reappear go to portrait mode again and hit the assignable buttons and they disappear again now back to landscape mode and hit stop the assignable buttons appear again there is a definite pattern ,
Just play around and you will see.

Issue:
Assignable button not always visible in portrait mode
Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create one or more assignable buttons if not already 2. Open ST4 in portrait mode and no assignable buttons are not visible
3.Rotate phone to landscape and tap on any song - button(s) now appear at the bottom of screen
4.Rotate phone back to portrait and button(s) are visible but press on any one and they all disappear!
5.Rotate phone backto landscape and tap on any song - button(s) now re-appear.

Expected Behavior: Assignable button should alway be visible in either landscape or portrait orientation
Actual Behavior: Random

I wrote already on or two times: assignable buttons are currently not displayed on iPhones in portrait mode. That will change when I rework the assignable buttons panel and make the buttons less wide. I think it will then be possible to display 2 in iPhone portrait, 6 in iPhone Landscape and 4 in iPad portrait and hopefully 8 in iPad landscape.

As long as you don't see anything in the changelog about this, don't expect anyhting to change.
