ST4 1905 | New Song workflow - import multiple files creates multiple songs

This doesn't feel like the intended outcome to me unless it is some multi-song batch creation process I'm not comprehending!

ST4 Build: 1905
Device & iOS Version: iPad 9th Gen, iOS 26.0.1

Issue Description:
This relates to the workflow of creating a New Song.

On the New Song screen, when you Import Audio Files, if you select multiple files (i.e. creating a multitrack song) it actually creates multiple songs with one audio file in each song.

Steps to Reproduce:

At bottom of Song List, click + to open the new Song window
Click Import Audio Files
Select 2 audio files to add to your new song
Click Done
You will actually briefly see a confirmation message advising the successful creation of 2 songs.
The window will close and you will be dropped back to the main screen.
Find your new song in the Song List - you should find one song for each audio file you imported.

Expected Behavior:
1 Song is created and all audio files imported are attached to that song.

Actual Behavior:
1 Song is created for each audio file you selected.

AnthonyB my logic would be.
If I want a totally new song if I fill in details then importing 1 audio file in to this folder retains my information and the audio file goes in to track one and is treated as a stereo song . If I loaded in more than one audio file then it still retains my isong information and creates a multitrack song and sets up all tracks including automatically assigns different busses in order of the audio files and tracks it’s created . In other words audio file 1 goes to track 1 audio bus 1 audio file 2 goes to track 2 audio bus 2 etc. no need to assign busses unless needed to operate differently.
If creating a new song but you don’t fill in any data then an import automatically uses the imported folders name as song name details and this then can be edited if needed.
When creating multitracks in the DAW.
Whatever track order and names you use and export to a folder the name of this folder is used to name the new song if no data was entered , all the files in this folder get automatically loaded in to the new song and an exact track order and naming gets created in the ST4 mixer as the daw order.
If the DAW does not provide track numbering info so st4 can recognise which audio goes where we should be able to put in numbers in front of track names in the preferred order of import so once you select a folder to import from all tracks get automatically loaded in to correct tracks and track names , again every track gets automatically allocated its group as standard , this to be a default so basically minimising the work load , simply create in DAW export to folder import folder and hit play everything is automatically set .
With all this immediate creation I might have left something out but I am sure if you remind me I will come up with a simple work around , I have thought about this when ST3 was coming together but lots of things weren’t possible then , I have done no testing in this area so things might be there already and if so GREAT!
and there might be a better way , even better!
As long as it’s simple easy and logical I’m happy.

Currently it is working as intended. But the wording in the dialog might be wrong. If you work with stereo songs (no multitrack), the most convenient way to create songs is just to select a bunch of mp3 files. The app will parse the id3 tags and create new songs with the file added to track 1.
