Audio Segment STOP/SKIP function permanent loop and single loop

Can someone explain the need for loop stop command, or is this suppose to be a skip command?
I can sort of understand a skip but having a STOP is a show stopper and a possible disaster ready to happen.
Haven't we got a Stop/Pause/Play button also remote control to do that, as well assignable buttons, i find it DANGEROUS enough having permanent loop and single loop, isn't it enough to simply engage permanent loop and disengage it if you only need one loop or keek it going as long as you need.
The SKIP is as simple as choosing the loop you need and it will skip to that loop, why create unnecessary complicated things, having a stop is dangerous as it will STOP your show if accidentally left on as you are trying to select something else .
If nothing is showing it means you are in normal play through mode , if you engage loop it means you are going to keep repeating this segment till you release the loop, there is nothing more you need, why complicate something that can be simple , to move to another loop just select it either by finger on the loop segment or step through using assigned buttons or a foot pedal , with a finger on the audio segments you swipe to left or right in view which then allows you time to quickly make a choice with a time delay that allows you to see what you have just chosen it also highlights this button , the return of view also happens at loop ends so if you don't make a choice as you are browsing you will be fine until a loop end which will pop you back to the now playing loop and give the opportunity to go search again.

Because we don't have a definite highlight when choosing loops at first, i tend to hit the button twice which then gives me a permanent loop , then i have to hit the button again and again to get me back to normal play, why is it so hard and dangerous when it could be so simple and still just as affective.
We seem to be creating unnecessary complexity to a piece of software that should be enjoyable to use and not stressful.
Sorry for going on but things have to be said to snap us out of this rot.

Not that i remember, here are my thoughts now, to simplify everything.
If you touch any loop you select it.
If you touch the now playing loop it will repeat once as its selected next.
To place a loop to permanent loop when using fingers on screen you touch a loop twice this places it to permanent loop to release it just touch it again , on remotes you have a dedicated command for engaging permanent loop on regions .
This simplifies everything, no need for any other things on the loop buttons appart from the permanent loop indicator , when you chose the now playing button it highlights itself as the next loop which simply means it will repeat and continue as normal , if you double touch the same loop it will place itself to permanent loop and one more hit on this button cancels it or if you choose another loop it will unlatch the permanent loop.
I think this is what we actually had in ST3.
Its simple and easily understood instead of having an extra two things that clutter the buttons and confuse the operator, any other suggestions welcome , i think ST3 is doing a great job as it is when it comes to user logic lets see if we can improve it on ST4.

at a point, make a story, talk shit and carry on from that moment.

Dont stop belivin. almost every gig i get ppl to sing the second line (living in a lonely world- now dont go stealing my idea 🙂 )

almost every gig the crowd sings but not loud enough, i need to stop, tell them they arent trying hard enough and start the song again.
definitely something i could use

when you set you loop region, make sure you choose the right function.

Yeah I know I do that by hitting stop and because I have it set to pause it does the same thing except I can stop whenever I choose cue up another loop and away I go , with the STOP in the loop you have to wait till the end of loop this is not very spontaneous , and if you program it in you are then forced to stop and sometimes the stop would be lame if it happens and you have a dead crowd, this then creates a trap,

Actually how do you get a SKIP in a loop I haven’t managed to figure it out?
The way I see it if you break up a song in to more loops then you simply skip the things you need to skip by choosing the next loop you need and it skips the loops you don’t need , this has to be done precisely so the audio sounds perfect when jumping and this then skips the text as well .
How do you skip text when using synced lyrics?

I've done the two loop thing up until now, and when Peter got the skip thing sorted I just removed those two loops (hit the second loop when it's busy playing through the first one - worked most times, but also missed a few times)

now it's set to skip and i need to touch nothing.
if i wanna repeat that 5x chorus (it's set to do the first and skip to "gonna take some time to do....")
and only if i decide to do all 5 ill hit the loop button to see the arrow (play through)

yes, it skips the lyrics. cant share a vid because this forum doesn't allow above 2mb uploads
it work just like any other loop, if i wanna repeat anything of course it needs to be perfectly aligned

bud, much like yourself, I am very passionate and very vocal. learning to be
less has been a challenge to me as well. Do you have any idea how much i wanna scream and push my agenda
when it comes to the master buss fx? i have a little and let it go. its so important to me, and my point of view as a sound engineer, and i really wanna push it. i wont.

Sharonzaz as a sound engineer myself I know your pain, luckily I don’t use multitracks so I am keeping my paws out of the mixer as much as possible
As long as it’s reliable and doasnt get in my way of the lyrics too much I’m happy , I can feel it getting more stable day by day , I’ve only had a few glitches in certain scenarios but will wait till everything settles before getting fully stuck in to its reliability , I won’t be using ST4 until it makes me smile on stage like ST3 did.
I have a busy month coming up so you might get a bit of a rest from me😂
