Screenview after button assignments

After I have assigned buttons, I’m stuck with the button bar /playbar in the centre of the screen, and I cannot get it down without tilting the iPad to portrait mode and back to landscape. Am I missing something here?

I haven't seen this issue. Are you able to reproduce it with some step by step instructions?

Settings
Assignable Buttons
Add button
Choose something (Rewind)
Color and Label
Done

And voala, bar in centre

Anyone else seeing this issue? Do you still have the keyboard open when pressing done? The height looks suspiciously like the on screen keyboard height.

Could not repro (ST4 1848 on iPad with iOS 26.0.1).

Just thinking... it almost looks like the keyboard auto-hid after clicking done, but then the app window didn't resize?

I even tried:

starting the entire process in Landscape (control bar moved to bottom of screen after clicking Done on Assignable Buttons config screen)
creating 3 buttons in case it had something to do with number of buttons
ensuring I had Song List view open in side bar AND a lyric sheet with regions defined AND waveform turned on (to replicate the screenshot conditions)

@royandreno sorry, some troubleshooting 101 next. Could you upgrade to Build 1848 (or newer if peter releases something before you read this), restart iPad, make sure no other apps are running in background, and re-run your repro.
If it is still reproable for you, can you be more detailed about anything else to do with your iPad Settings, especially that relate to the Display that is different to default (remember what you think is 'normal' may not be for others). Do you have an external display also connected? Anything might help!

AnthonyB Thanks for trying to troubleshoot as well. I did all what you suggested without any improvement. Latest build, 1848, but same result.
Every time I start naming the button, the keyboard comes up, pushes the button line above the keyboard. When closing the keyboard, the button line/bar stays in the middle.

OK, so it is caused by the keyboard. But I have no idea why it is only happening on your device. I run the same iOS version. Does it also happen in portrait mode?

This is so strange. And it only happens with the assignable buttons? Not with anything else where the keyboard is opened in the settings dialog?

peter No, not that I have noticed. Do you need more of my logfiles?

The logfiles will not show anything UI related.

Well, I will change the layout of the region buttons anyway in one of the following updates get rid of the scrollview there and simply only show as many buttons as fit on the screen. Maybe that will fix the issue.
