Hi Peter - I'm sure you are swamped with the v4 beta! Personally, I am going to wait to upgrade until the release version, but thanks to all who are using and providing useful feedback! So I know this might not be on the radar for a while, if ever, but I have a request that would be useful for me;, so I'll put it out there. I'm not sure if it will be useful for others or how easy it would be to implement.
For gigs when I'm running tracks, I use ST3, soon to be ST4. For gigs where I'm not, I use a music-focused pdf reader called forscore. All of my band uses forscore for everything, including gigs where I run ST. Most of my musician network, including subs that come in from time to time, rely almost exclusively on forscore to read charts. I would like an easy way to maintain setlists between both apps.
Would it be possible to export some sort of setlist file from ST4 that could be read and imported into another app (like forscore)? I imagine that, on import, forscore could just grab the song titles, assuming they are named exactly the same as they are in ST4, and create its own set list from the pdfs it already has. (Bonus points if the pdfs from ST4 could accompany the setlist export and overwrite the pdfs in forscore.)
Forscore currently imports setlists from other forscore users as a .4ss file, and gives the user the option of using the pdfs already in forscore, or overwriting with the ones in the setlist, if they are there.
Currently, I do this inter-app setlist sync-up work manually, and it's kind of a hassle as I often update charts, and have to remember to update them in both apps, etc, besides the general annoyance of doing the same work twice.
Thanks for the consideration, even if it doesn't happen. Can't wait to jump onto v4 .
