Hi Peter.... ST4 is looking great so far! Will there be a "Search" function for the playlists? Sometimes I need to find a song within a playlist and I don't want to exit the playlist to the song list. Thanks Peter! Gary

I wanna add that as time goes on the app gets slower in response.
I wasnt thinking this needs a separate thread, this is just feedback.
I can't say what exactly but the snappy reactions diminish with time and with
running the app through time the app gets more sluggish and needs to close and reopen.
the CPU load also goes up with time as the app slows down

Volume fader and knobs now only changes value after holding the fader for 0.3 seconds

Reenabling autoscrolling after a manual override will immediately scroll to the original position

This new version a game changer, so much more flexibility when using stems.
Love the assignable buttons too, what a great idea.
I only just downloaded the beta and done a little bit of testing and so far so good, i don’t think I’ve ran into any bugs yet.
A couple of suggestions
on the crossfade feature, it would be great in the song information page if you could actually set where in the song you want the cross fade to start and have it just start the next track not fade out the current track, also it would be great if you could have the option in the networking feature to be able to control the app from another device.

Indivudual crossfade points are a good idea for a future version 4.1 or 4.2. Maybe create new thread in the Feature Requests forum so that it can be upvoted.

Remote control is already possible. Make sure to set a matching session password on both devices and then you can control the host from the client.

This is most likely the last beta version for the next 2 weeks. If there are some urgent issues discovered in this build, I will release another update only with the fixes for these issues tomorrow. Apart from that, please take it easy with testing the next two weeks. I will follow the forum closely and take part in discussions but I will not be able to release any updates.

Disabled all autocorrect replacements in lyrics editor but iOS system settings still take precedence
Disabled metronome in network clients

App uses more and more cpu and memory during usage
Autoscrolling skipping timecodes in network clients and when looping or jumping between regions
Replacing audio file in track moves the track to the end of the track list
Metronome misses beats when changing the tempo
Inaccurate autoscrolling for songs with speed adjustments
Selecting a region when not playing will not make it pulse

peter Have a great time Peter , well deserved! This is a great opportunity for the testers to have more time to play around and think about better ways to do things instead of bombarding you with faults that were caused by quick fixes that caused you more unnecessary issues.
I Love the new Audio segment colouring logic It’s a big step forward to make us feel more relaxed on stage ,
After 2 minutes of testing this area I have found other small issues which can wait , I don’t expect responses unless you are bored🤣which I doubt.
But as I find time and inspiration I will be writing like most of us.

So i can report that CPU load is staying more stable WHILE songs are playing
but the overall feel is the app is still slowing down with time. selecting songs (queuing them) while playing
is slowing down with time, and unless i am imagining things, the further down the list i go, the slower it gets? weird

But definite improvement, by how much i cannot say

It’s not urgent but when you get around to it I noticed when you go to change a bus name or a region name you have to delete each character individually. It won’t highlight all like the previous version

iPad Air 5th gen iPadOS 18.6.2 256Gb build 1937

While playing a long song (9:45 in my example] with timecoded lyrics and highlight position in autoscroll set to top (although the fault still happens with centred) the highlighted verses are progressively displayed lower down the screen as the song plays until eventually the highlighted text is not displayed on the screen at all.

On another longer song (of 23:23 length) the opposite happens where the highlighted lyrics appear higher each time until they are off the screen above.

Both tracks work perfectly on ST3

Add your experiences and any data there and generate a Support Email and send through to Peter. Make sure you let him know date/time is occured, and the Song name, as it helps him locate relevant log entries.

Absolutely! I get the feeling that it isn't an easy one and given you're trying to get ready to go away for 2 weeks, I was definitely not expecting anything!
