peter Thanks Robert, can you please create a database only backup in ST3 and send it to me via the support email? There might be some edge case in your playlist data that caused the error. 2 is already tracked in a seperate thread. And 3 needs to be fixed. I have added it to my todos.
peter New beta build 1953 I'm back from my vacation so that you can expect frequent updates again. I hope we will reach a stable version in about 2 weeks so that I can then start to work on the missing iCloud Sync feature. Testing of the macOS version can also start in the next few days. Changed Improved responsiveness of faders and knobs in mixer Fixed Fixed multiple crashes reported in the last 2 weeks Playback not stopping at end of songs with no audio tracks Editing song after moving it to another folder reverts the move operation Stop mode incorrectly applied when stopping playback at end of a region Dragging in the top panel waveform does not update the song time in title view Midi learn in lyrics editor does not recognise incoming sysex messages
Sharonzaz peter Welcome Back hope you had a great time I’ve checked the latest build on a spare iPad and first thing I noticed is that touching the mixer Almost instantly activates the orange glow and makes the mixer faders move unintentionally
jfduval Hello Peter, welcome back and thank you for the corrections. For Beta 1953, I noticed that the application crashes (on iPhone) when you are in the Regions section and want to choose one of the other three sections (Details, Audio, or Lyrics).
Anakin Riff Hi Peter, I’m following up on the previous message to confirm that the crash also happens on MacBook. With the latest beta version (1953), if I go to the "regions" section of a song and switch sections, Stage Traxx 4 crashes. I’ve also reported the issue via TestFlight.
peter OK, I can reproduce this issue. Seems like one of the crash fixes causes a different crash. Will be fixed in tomorrows update.
peter I got a lot of Testflight feedback that the mixer faders and knobs take too long to react to dragging. Therefore I reduced the time to 0.1 seconds which still prevents them from activating when scrolling, but makes them react to dragging faster.
peter Anakin I don't see a difference in CPU on iOS and macOS is not yet supported. Sharonzaz I will increase the time to 0.2. That's right in the middle of the original 0.3 and the current 0.1.
Anakin @peter, I noticed that with this build the CPU usage stays around 30%, while in the previous build it was about 5%. I’m using a MacBook Pro M4 Pro.
peter New beta build 1966 This is the first build that is also officially available for macOS. Changed Decreased responsiveness of knobs and faders a bit again to reduce chance of involuntary changes Improved performance when switching between playlist, song list and queue in sidebar Fixed Crash exiting audio region editor Double tap to reset faders in mixer on iOS 16 and 17 Possible hang when changing mixer speed knob Text input in alerts not visible on iOS 16 and 17 Alerts with text input field missing OK button on iOS16 Alert buttons not working when initially disabled below iOS26 Double tap gesture to open / close full screen lyrics not working reliably Scroll speed buttons temporarily shown for songs with timecoded scrolling Closing and reopening playlist view in sidebar does not show the correct playlist on iOS16
Sharonzaz peter Thank you, definite improvement for the mixer for me 🙏 Felt it’s faster response when selecting next song to queue for xfade 💪😎 Will test and report
peter New beta build 1977 Fixed Possible crash navigating back from a playlist to the playlists overview Autoscrolling not keeping configured position for highlighted line Double tap protection applied twice if active on network client and host Midi trigger to select songs does not work with program changes containing a bank Chords misaligned with centered lyrics Crossfade can be started even if no playback is running Mini player in song details not updating playback time and position continuously Region pulse animation pushing song details view up and down
rowe2000 Not bugs, but design proposals.. 1. I suggest the buttons for editing song and show mixer should beplaced in the stop bar next to the settings button instead of the bottom bar. This will make it a more consistent toolbar. It wil be easier to find the base functionalities and reduce the overall clutter. The bottom bar is then for custom buttons and it maybe should be transparent to show lyrics an setlist trough it. 2. I think the metronome flash should outline the whole app instead of just the lyric area. On iPhone in portait mode you woun't see the lyrics but only the setlist, that is how it is meant, but therefor you can't see the metronome either.
peter I don't agree. Top bar is for global actions or views. Bottom bar is for song specific actions or views. And there is no room for 2 more buttons in the top bar. There is no room for that around the whole UI but I could make the bottom bar flash instead.
rowe2000 peter OK, I'm convinced, as long as there is an design idea about it I'm good! Good enough, that sure solves it! Thanks. 🙂
