peter Hi Peter , using iPhone pro max I have had audio segments that went silent , no audio choosing another segment plays audio then going back to the other segment that did not play actually plays ok , this is a big concern.
In stop mode selecting an audio segment doesn’t highlight the segment initially , but as it’s playing selecting another segment does highlight properly.
The permanent loop next to stop start button does not indicate when it’s active , this is very bad as on the iPhone you do not see the audio loops on screen if in portrait mode and if your intro is permanently looped you have no indication to say you need to press the button to deactivate a present permanent loop.
As The Audio loops area progresses through the song you loose visual contact with the now playing loop this is bad , we always want the present playing loop in sight preferably in the middle of screen so we can see next and previous loops to make an easy choice of next loop , this should apply to foot controlling loops , the now playing loop should always be in the middle of screen unless you are at start or coming to end of song.
The thin song position indicator is pretty useless , because it’s colours and the highlighting is to insignificant to be useful on stage , I would make it so there is a bright easy to see indicator just moves around the colourful chart that represent the audio loops but the easy to see indicator gives us a good idea where we are in the song.
The line is too thin and small to use the same indication method as the actual Audio Segments boxes.
The audio segment boxes have too much wasted space between them and haven’t enough contrast to see where we are in the loop , and I want to see a very bright stand out loop that’s active .
Selecting the audio segments options is made more awkward by having too many control options that get unwillingly selected as you simply want to choose the next loop, , of the top of the head suggestion what if the loop button next to stop start toggles through the now playing loop options instead of the loop buttons themselves that way there are no accidental unwanted actions selected yet you still can change the loops behaviour on the run , if you are in STOP mode then you can make permanent changes on the loop buttons themselves, this would avoid unwanted changes while selecting next loops.
Ok that’s it for now I still have a ship load of feedback but one step at a time,
Overall I like the mixer at first glance , .
I don’t understand the extra Queue button that brings down another song selection option.
And I don’t understand when I choose in settings, playback settings , queue songs on tap turned off why I can highlight a song yet there seems to be no purpose to it, the dim yellow highlight disappears after a time then nothing if I double tap while I’m in play selects the next song, that I get but not the other , I also preferred the whole song line to be highlighted as it’s much easier to see which song is doing what , just having a bit of colour on the side does not work well on stage.
Ok that’s it for now ,
Good luck with it .
