Hi Peter , firstly thank you for providing us with these useful options that even a $2000 digital mixer has not even thought about.
There’s some things in this section that aren’t all that clear to the novice user without reading the manual which I think can be easily fixed .
LABELLING is the main problem.
To make it a lot more clear I would use better headings that clearly describe what the functions are.
Example
In AUDIO ROUTING,
Stereo Song Output, I would rename this to Stereo/Mono output selector, or similar , that way the user immediately knows what that area in settings does.
On the right side where you have SPEAKER , this makes no sense , is it going to one speaker ? Or two? Or what?
I would rename this to STEREO SPEAKERS L+R.
When you enter this area you have 4 options ,
SPEAKER , what does this mean ? Nothing really , is it going to ONE SPEAKER ? NO it’s going out to STEREO speakers., so why not clearly state this, STEREO SPEAKERS OUT - L+R stereo out
This applies to the SPEAKER left and right options ,
Why not say it as it is,
LEFT SPEAKER OUT MONO- L+R combined to MONO
RIGHT SPEAKER OUT MONO - L+R combined to MONO
This then immediately lets us know what you exactly mean by these selections without having to read the instructions or sit there for a while thinking about to what this area does.
I also would like to be able to choose both MONO OUTS AT THE SAME TIME not just one or the other as I might have a larger gig that uses both main outs BUT I NEED THEM BOTH IN MONO FOR OBVIOUS REASONS.
I know you will probably say it’s not technically possible but I thought I’d mention it as my Alan Heath friends have not even thought about this as they were too busy developing the input stage of the mixer and ran out of time to develop the output stage of the mixer to suit the input quality.😂
I am very impressed you actually thought about this at all in ST,
Perhaps you need to hire yourself out to larger companies to help them develop better products.
To add, this applies to MULTITRACKS.
Hope my feedback can improve things.
Cheers Damir
