Unstable session in Stage Traxx 3 with external router (Bluetooth off)

Hello,
I have encountered an issue while using Stage Traxx 3. I checked the forum and saw a post mentioning that it is necessary to use an external router to maintain a stable connection. However, after some time of working with the router (with Bluetooth turned off on both devices), the session starts to drop out.
I have not been able to figure out how to reproduce this problem. It might be related to minimizing the app on my MacBook (for example, when I open Finder while the app is running, although I don’t always do this). Another possible cause could be when the iPad screen gets locked. After these actions, network issues seem to occur. However, I cannot say for certain what exactly causes the failure, because during performances I do neither of these things.
I have sent the logs from my MacBook and iPad. I would greatly appreciate your help.

This issue occurred again at home. I still cannot determine the exact cause, as I did not perform any actions with the app or run anything in parallel besides simple playback.

I am also sending you the logs from both my iPad and MacBook via the app. In addition, I have attached screenshots taken at the moment of the problem, as well as confirmation that both the iPad and MacBook maintained their WiFi connection at that time.

I will also try to run a test using another router.

After changing the router, the problem has disappeared. This evening I will run a test with another new router and report the results. If the issue does not reappear, I will provide the model name of the problematic router to help prevent other users from facing similar issues in the future.

I can see the disconnect in the logfile but not the reason as you only sent the logfiles from the host (the mac).

Thank you very much for your reply. Yesterday I ran my evening show using another, more powerful router, and the problem disappeared. I believe the issue was caused by my previous router. It is a compact model without proper external antennas. I didn’t think this would matter since both devices were less than two meters away, but for Stage Traxx 3 this router turned out to be insufficient.
I assume that occasional connection dropouts occurred between the router and the device. In everyday use, such as regular internet browsing, this problem is hardly noticeable, but for Stage Traxx 3 these dropouts proved to be critical.
The problematic router was GL.iNet MT300N-V2.
I am grateful for your work — Stage Traxx 3 is absolutely worth every cent. I hope my experience will be useful for other users as well as for you.

Radkevich you'll see from this thread (https://support.stagetraxx.com/d/3230-suggestions-on-small-wireless-access-point) I've gone through a similar 'journey' and never 100% solved the issue.

As Peter mentioned above, the communication protocol will change in ST4 and I'm REALLY hoping (and honestly, quietly confident) that it becomes rock solid with this change!

I'm not entirely sure how the communication is done exactly in version 3 as that is handled by an Apple framework which does not document these internals. But version 4 will hopefully be a bit more resilient to shaky networks. The host will only drop clients if they don't respond within 10 seconds. So most short term connectivity issues should be resolved in this timespan. Of course you might miss out some updates in that time, but I believe this will be handled gracefully by my custom built networking layer.
