I love using Stage Traxx 3 and have been using it in live performances for a couple of years now. I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of the many fantastic features. Thank you for building this great tool.
I'm excited to see that you're planning an auv3 integration. Let me share with you some of the things that I would really like to be able to achieve.
I'm just starting to use Loopy Pro for some songs that will be scripted using its "sequence" feature. This enables me to play and record parts of the song in real-time that will be replayed at various predetermined places in the song timeline along with pre-recorded audio. These songs are fixed in length. I'd really like to be able to do this in sync with Stage Traxx 3 while ST3 is showing and highlighting time coded lyrics and chords as well as sending time coded midi messages.
It would be advantageous to be able to
- 'load' a specific loopy pro project along with a song in ST3
- 'start' and 'stop' the loopy pro song along with the ST3 song.
- Have ST3 take care of displaying lyrics, chords, etc... and sending of midi messages as normal , in sync with loopy pro.
- have ST3 discover project parameters such as tempo and song length from loopy pro (a nice to have). Alternatively, ST3 could dictate midi clock over auv3 to loopy pro. That might make more sense,
- possibly have ST3 playing some audio tracks in sync with loopy pro, but not necessarily.
Additionally, I'm switching to an iPad based guitar rig, using TonestackPro as well as some other 'effects' from Eventide and Bleass. Loopy pro hosts these as auv3 plugins, which is fine when I'm using Loop pro. However, it will be fantastic to see these hosted in ST3 for all of my non-looping songs. I'd love to be able to select patches and control parameters via midi.
I don't know exactly what your plans are for the auv3 integration, but I thought that sharing these specific use-cases might help provide a picture of what I'd like to be able to do.
Thanks for listening. I'd love to hear from you on what your plans are as they take shape.
