Lishy Hi, this is Tobi from BANDZONE 👋 Just wanted to quickly chime in... 🙂
Indeed, some of the typical (standard) tasks for a band can be accomplished via WhatsApp, a shared calendar, and/or by combining various other tools.
However, using multiple or less specialized tools can lead to increased effort in setup and maintenance, a lack of focused features, and data scattered across multiple apps.
Many bands appreciate the streamlined, cohesive, and time-saving experience offered by the platform, which also helps them reduce the number of separate tools they rely on.
They find it especially helpful for band-specific features such as:
- creating stage-ready PDF setlists from existing song data (including FoH data for cue lists),
- viewing all member absences and existing events directly in the date picker of the event creation screens,
- keeping all files (recordings, lead sheets, etc.) where they belong – e.g., attached to the actual songs,
- quickly gathering availabilities for multiple events,
...just to name a few.
We're also actively working with bands to continuously improve and expand our features. Some items on the roadmap include: polls, to-do lists, a band.bio page, finance tracking, contracts, and invoicing.
Discussions within Events/Songs/Venues will be rolled out this week.
If there’s a feature you’d like to see added or improved, we’re always more than happy to discuss!
Of course, BANDZONE won’t be the perfect fit for everyone—especially for bands that are happy with their current setup, have fewer things to organize, or prefer not to invest in paid tools. And that’s totally fine! 🙂
For any band still exploring their options or experiencing some frustration with their current workflow, we invite you to try our service for 32 days—no strings attached (no credit card required).
Keep on rockin’! 🤘
