  • Search does not work as expected

Hi Peter, i have found a bug , this may or may not be ST3 causing it , i have had this issue for some time and am leaning towards the operating system problem.
If you open up the actual ST3 folder and use the search, there are 3 options that pop up as you type in your search , RECENT, ON IPAD, STAGE TRAXX 3, i typed in the begining of the name of a song (Audio) now you get all songs in the first two options, Recent and on ipad, but when you narrow down the search to stage traxx 3 only folder, i get no results whatsoever, this to me is a bug , i know i have those songs in the folder but i get no results.
Is it possible that its the ST3 folder is not setup for an individual search or is the operating system at fault here?
I havent tried any other folders to see if its a common problem within the operating system.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?
TIP
i often use the ST3 folder to send a song to another bit of software that recognizes chords, this places them visually on screen so i can easily just enter the chords in the text editor the name of the software is (Chord ai) and works on ipad and iphone it saves a lot of time if you cant be bothered working out chords youself.

There are no options that could be set on the app folder regarding searching. At least not that I am aware of. I just tried it on my iPad and I can see the files in all 3 options. Maybe your spotlight index is not fully generated in iOS?

peter good to hear it’s working your end, I will piss in Apple's ear and see if something can be done.

Where can I check this on iPad?

peter my search on iPhone 16 pro max with latest software does not work at all, it finds nothing in all three modes, I think Apple has a big problem.

Check your search settings in iOS Settings > Search > Stage Traxx 3. Make sure both options are enabled.

Thank you for this advice , i did not know this was an option in settings in the new operating system, but unfortunately everything is enabled but still no search results, i have made progress on my older iPad pro running iOS 17.7.6 as i have accidentally left the search just sitting there for a long period and results popped up eventually so my old iPad pro is actually working.
The iPhone 16 pro max running IOS 18.4 has also come good after a restart and is working as expected.
My IPad 9th gen IOS 18.4 is still not working after a restart and checking search settings, letting it sit there for ages still comes up with NO SEARCH RESULTS when in STAGE TRAXX 3 mode , I think the new search system is way to complicated , the old system is much more simpler and reliable and just worked. Some things should not be fiddled with if they work.
Thanks again Peter , i will talk to apple again and explain the issue.
Cheers and good luck with ST4, my 2 cents worth, please keep it as simple as possible and on stage user friendly.
