Is it possible to bulk refresh imported lyric files?
Because I do all of my work on a desktop Windows PC, I'm using a OneDrive folder as an intermediatry for importing audio files (multitrack audio) and lyric files (text files) into ST3 running on an iPad. On my Windows desktop PC, I save all files into a 'StageTraxx import' folder on OneDrive, and then in ST3 I import from that OneDrive folder. I use Windows Notepad for editing lyric sheets on Windows 11 as it is nice a fast.
There are times where I have needed to update many lyric sheets in a batch as I'm also embedding MIDI controller and patch change data in them (e.g. guitarist changes an effect they use on 20 songs so I need to reflect that in 20 lyric sheets).
Currently, I'm:
- Making the changes in the lyric sheets on my OneDrive folder, then
- Going into each song, one-by-one in ST3 and Edit Lyrics -> Import -> select the relevant file folder -> Save -> Done
This is quite a tedious process for 10 songs, let alone if I have to do 50 or 60.
Am I missing something? Is there a better way I could do this?
I saw in this thread (https://support.stagetraxx.com/d/156-st3-song-refresh) @peter mentioned
when editing lyrics outside of ST3, open the lyrics editor for the song and tap on the refresh button in the navigation bar. This will reload the lyrics from the file.
but I don't see any refresh button so possibly it only applies in certain scenarios? or is outdated UI info?
If there is no way, then I'd love this to be considered as a feature request for ST4 if possible! 🙂
