ST3 NO AUDIO

Hi everyone. Yesterday I had a problem with the audio. I connected the Xr18 to my iPad 10 via USB - we did the sound check and everything was fine, the tracks came out of ST3 without problems.
At the moment of starting the show..I pressed play on the first song, everything starts normally... but NO audio flow arrives in the mixer. As far as routing was concerned, everything was correct, ST3 could easily see all the dedicated outputs it had on the mixer, but it didn't "emit" audio. The mixer was connected to the iPad with a direct wire (USB B - USB C) so I didn't have any adapters that could create compatibility problems. I tried everything guys, i closed and reopened ST3, disconnected and reconnected the USB, controlled the volume of the iPad from the side buttons and everything was ok.
From ios audio settings everything was ok. ST3 as routing continued to be set correctly (it saw all the dedicated outputs on the mixer).. but no audio came out. 😕

Did the playback time progress and you did not hear any sound or did playback not run at all?

Closing the app in the task switcher and reopening it helped?

Can you send me your logfiles via Settings > Create Support Email and not the song and time & date when it happened?

peter Thank you very much Peter, I will send you the logfiles via "create support email".
The problem occurred last night, the iOS version was 18.1
This morning, to be safe, I updated to 18.2.1
The playback simply moved forward the timeline, sent MIDI messages but only the audio didn't come out

Thanks, I can see your restarts and reconnects of the XR18. I also see the playback start commands but there is no failure logged regarding the playback. This is very similar to an issue I saw myself, maybe twice. I have not found any errors in the log in my case too.

What did work in that case was to simply terminate the app in the task switcher and restart it. I know this is only a workaround, but currently I don't have an idea what might be causing this.

peter Unfortunately, in my case, closing and reopening from the task switcher did not solve the problem. I'll try to do some stress test in the next few days, with the same setup as that evening. If I notice that it happens in certain circumstances, I will update you here in the forum.

peter Hi Peter.. update on the situation the other evening:

I tried changing clock rate on Xair (48 --> 44.1) and it worked again. After a while.. the audio blackout again.. so I did the actual operation (44.1 --> 48) and everything went back to normal.

I also noticed that while the audio blackout occurs... if I try to disconnect the mixer and connect another sound card... the problem does not exist. If I disconnect the sound card and reconnect the XR18 the blackout continues. So...I really believe that the problem lies in the XR18 and its management with ios in Class compliant. 😕

It could also be the USB cable. Do you have another cable that you could try?
