Copy Regions from One Song to Another?

Hi Peter, great news on the progression of version 4. Looking forward to it.

Is it possible for me to copy the regions created for one song to another copy of that song? I'm setting up different play lists for my solo, duo and trio. Some songs are the exact same length but the only difference is whether there is bass or guitar in the song. Yes, I know I can just upload all the files in the MT song and just unmute whoever is not there. This is what I have been doing. But sometimes I forget to setup the play list ahead of time and I want to avoid that by having specific playlists that I call up and not worry about muting someone or remembering to unmute them when the are not there. Being able to copy the regions would save a ton of time in setting up the playlists.

Dom simply DUPLICATE your song and make changes to the duplicate to suit , this uses the original file to play but allows all other changes, you can then change colour of song to indicate different setups , rename the song and in your case I would rename the artist column to suit your needs that way you can easily make a search to group all your songs needed to create a playlist for individual needs.
This does not use up a lot of memory.
To duplicate , slide left on song and choose duplicate.

Thanks so much for this. Didn't realize this was possible in the way you've explained and see this working for songs that are indeed the exact same length. But since it isn't possible to remove, say, the solo section for the guitar to make a shorter version then I will have to export from the DAW again but this should still maybe take less time than re-creating all the regions. I will give it a try and see how I get along. Thank again!!
