  • Annoying random click through usb audio out

Good morning everyone, I hope the new year is going well for you all.

Is anyone getting an annoying random click when using audio from usb c on a pad running st3 in to the usb of an x air 18?

Maybe try a different usb cable.

I intend to do that, this noisey cable is brand new , and I have a shorter home made cable which seems fine, I’m wondering is the extra meter of cable the issue here. ?

If it is longer than 5m then definitely yes. USB cables only work up to 5m length reliably.

The 3m cable is perfect and the 5m cable which is too short for some gigs is not great.

This is why I hope future versions of st3 will support master and slave playback control over WiFi without the need for laptops and 3rd party apps.
