• SupportiOS
  • Route multitrack audio to ipad mixer (Loopy Pro, AUM etc.)

Hi! We are a trio that wants to run a minimalistic setup using Stage Traxx with AUv plugins like ToneStack Pro for guitar, OneShot for midi drums and various synths, all by using a 6/4 audio interface like Steinberg UR44.
In Loopy Pro, we can get all our FoH and IEM mixes setup from teh interface, but we want to use Stage Traxx for multichannel backing tracks.
Today, we can only route ST3 to physical hardware outputs of the interface. We want only to send to Loopy Pro and mix from there. It is posible to run ST3 as Inter-App Audio in LP, but only stereo and the audio is at the same time routed directly to the outputs.
We can also control our individual IEM mixes by TouchOSC to LP on the iPad, so its just the missing puzzle of ST3 to LP..
Could this be possible?

Thanks for an amazing software!!

/Martin

No, Stage Traxx only support stereo output for Inter-App Audio connections.

peter OK thanks. Then I know. Maybe for the future, or too specific perhaps?

I am afraid not. Interapp audio has been marked deprecated since iOS13 and will be completely removed in one of the following iOS releases. Audiobus seems dead. The SDK has not been updated for a couple of years. It is already no longer 100% compatible with the current XCode environment. There is no update in sight.

I don't want to ride dead horses, so version 4 will completely drop both Interapp audio and Audiobus support.

      Hi Peter,

Is there an alternative to Audiobus that will work with ST4?

Well the alternative would be to make ST4 run as a AUv3 plugin. This is indeed something I want to achieve in the long run but I'm not sure it will make it into version 4.0.
