Airturn repeat scroll function problem

Hi Peter, when i set my digit3 to repeat scroll through my song list it has a jerking action which is very off-putting when trying to repeatedly scroll through songs , as you hold the remote button and it triggers the next move the yellow colour of the NEXT song jumps one line below or above depending in which direction you are scrolling then jumps back to normal position.
This is a big distraction when also trying to read the song titles as they scroll, the colour should remain in the central position and only the names of the songs should pass through this coloured line.
I believe this has always been a problem but it has not been fixed.
It also happens if you use the assignable buttons to move up down which means its not the Digit3 its ST3 programming doing this.
Hope you can fix it?

I don't think I can fix that as the repeat functionality is not handled by ST3. ST3 receives repeated keypress events from your Airturn device. It does not have any knowledge whether you keep the pedal pressed or simple step on it multiple times.

I don’t think you see the problem.
Everything is working fine except the NEXT song selection keeps jumping down or up one line as you are selecting songs this means the programming logic is not in order the highlighted NEXT song area should remain in place and only the song titles should move in to this spot without going through the jerking process which is very distracting when desperately looking for next song.

The function does exactly what it is supposed to do: Moving the next (or current) selected song up or down. The new selection will stay in focus. How else could you see where you are when selection moves out of the visible screen?

Yes, but it has a jerking/flash every time you select the next song , can’t you see it?
Play a song then use the selection buttons , you will notice a very quick flash of the NEXT colour that appears above and below the actual NEXT selection line depending which way you move , this flash is very annoying and should not be happening.
It’s not as bad on my new iPhone 16 pro max but is very noticeable on my iPad Pro, I haven’t tested it on my Mac Studio.

You are right. It jumps around a bit. But I will not fix that in version 3. As this is not a new issue (it was there from the beginning). I will try to remove that issue in version 4.
