Hi all -

I think a very useful feature would be the ability to mute a particular multitrack if/when the standard form of a song is deviated from. I imagine that many of use have a track that has verbal cues: "chorus!" "bridge", etc to indicate upcoming sections of a song.

If we change the form on the fly, repeat a chorus, whatever, these verbal cues will be wrong. It would be great if we could mute the track that has these cues if/when modify the form on the fly.

Just a thought! Peter tells me that currently this needs to be done manually, or with a midi command or footswitch or similar.

gdgross not sure what you’re asking when, like you say, it can be done manually or via midi command.

Lishy not sure what you’re asking when, like you say, it can be done manually or via midi command.

would love it to be automatic if I alter the song form - one less thing to think about/touch/trigger so I can focus more on performing.

I'm not convinced that this feature will find lots of use. Sorry.

peter no worries! Can't hurt to ask, also curious if anyone else thought the idea was useful :-)

I would definitely find it useful if we could mute a group like for instance the bass (I’ve got it on group 2). Currently I could use mute (with a BT pedal) to mute the bass on a song as it’s starting but it stays muted until next time I’d play it and unmute it, but would find it helpful to mute the group and unmute on demand, not at the song level but on the output group.

Sharonzaz I won’t go to multi tracks until there is a definite advantage on stage.

Sharonzaz That's already possible in output routing. Just set the track output of the track you want to mute to "Disabled".

peter can I use a BT pedal to disable to enable back (to the same routing?)

Yes that’s a good feature when preparing for a gig, but it’s not so good while performing as it’s too awkward to simply access the mutes on the run and still see your lyrics at all times , it would be great to be able to manipulate the tracks on the run.
The master mutes should control all songs tracks and are set in settings but the song mutes should be individual song mutes that can be operated easily while performing , this way you can strip down a song to bare minimum and build it up for a full on impact on the run depending on atmosphere of crowd.
It’s something I would see a definite benefit to change from stereo to multitrack songs at the moment there is no real benefit on stage for solo artists or people running their show’s simply.

My bassist doesn’t know all the songs on the fly, and switching off the bass track on demand or back on if there’s a part he may have forgotten is proven great, sadly I can only do this on the mixer (send a CC to mute the bass on the mixer) and it’ll be great if I could rather do this on the app (not per song- on the group master) then I don’t have to have my big mixer and can grab a smaller one sometimes.

For on demand changes you can map the mute to a pedal button. And that setting will only change the mute within a song.

In Version 4 you will send tracks to a bus and that bus will have a volume slider and also a dedicated mute (and plugin fx). That should solve some of the issues.
