Hi all, been exploring options for triggering backing tracks and stage traxx really just seems to nail about everything I want. (Here's my original post from a couple of days ago.)
There are so many great features that make this app ideal for running a whole show:
- midi triggering for lights - great for hands off, and simple setup that I don't have to think about when playing
- lyrics, and linked pdfs for charts and following along if you set it up - I may never have to turn a page again!
- setlists
- sending multitracks to my mixer with a single cable
- little helpful touches like the clock and adding the total set time
- audio regions in case we want to change form on the fly
which brings me to my next question: can we mute one particular multitrack if the song form is deviated on the fly? One of my multitrack is vocal cues that indicate the next song section (bridge, verse, etc.) It's not strictly necessary, but it's nice for the band to announce the song at the top just in case, and call out sections should the worst happen, someone get lost, etc.
However, if, for example, I want to repeat the last chorus at the end of the song, and touch the last "chorus" audio region in my song, stage traxx will play that chorus again when the current chorus audio region is finished. But the multitrack indicating that the next section is "outro" or whatever, will still play at the end of the chorus audio region, before it loops back and repeats the chorus.
It would be very helpful if, when you touched an audio region and therefore deviated from the song's form, the multitrack that had those cues could just be muted entirely, or at least muted in the current audio region.
Is this possible?
If not, is there a feature request section?
Thanks! That little thing would make this app 100% perfect for me. (until I find the next little thing, haha)
