Hi mate, got an issue that happens quite regularly. ive edited lyrics and time synced etc within stagetraxx on OSX. All fine. I then go back into the lyrics to copy everything on the page, so that I can embed the time synced lyrics (colours etc as well), into my tagging program.

It only happens on random songs, but is repeatable. When I select all (CMD A), something corrupts the first line of lyrics within stagetraxx. the only way I know it has done it, is that when I go to cancel out of the lyrics page, it prompts me that the lyrics have been changed.

as you can see 19:10 its corrupts the lyrics

Any ideas??

Ive just done about 45 songs and no ideas what ones have been corrupted, as I didnt think it was a problem until just now 🙁

Here is another example

I can not reproduce this problem. Tried very hard with different lyrics. I can also not imagine what could cause it as cmd-a is solely handled by macOS. The app does not even know that you selected all text until you do something with it.

Do you have a clipboard manager app running or anything else that could modify the selection behavior?

Hi Peter, my steps to replicate it seems to be consistent. I do have Karabiner running, but the problem still occurs with it switched off.

To replicate it, I simply open the lyrics edit page, as there is no cursor on the page, I click within the text, press CMD+A and the problem appears. What I have noticed, is that when it replaces the text at the top, the replacement text always seems to be the word or part of the word after where I clicked.....

It doesnt happen with every text file, and indeed seems to happen mostly when the text amount is more than what the screen can display (in other words you need to scroll down to see all the lyrics).

I can tell when its going to happen, as after I click within the text, then do the CMD+A, about a second or two later, the text is all selected (highlighted), but the screen jumps down to the end of the lyrics. Then when I scroll back up, the line near the top has the corrupted text.

It doesnt even need to have time sync stamps etc for it to do it, just plain old boring text.

Tried to upload a screen recording it happening, but the page doesnt seem to like it. I can put it in dropbox if you wish?

Another update, even without doing CMD+A, if I manually highlight all the text, the error still appears. Ive tried highlighting from top down, and also from bottom up, with the same results each time. Also, a bum steer -- it doesnt seem to be the word after where I click as I originally thought. Ive tried other sections to click in , but its always the same word it using to corrupt within the text

Well, I followed your steps but I can not reproduce this issue. Something is modifying the selected text but I'm pretty sure it is not Stage Traxx. Did you quit Karabiner completely? Are there other keyboard utilities running?

yes -- totally shut down and no other utilities running

try this -

right click in the ST3 lyrics edit window and turn off spelling and grammar, text replacement, etc.

    John Didn't work for me im afraid. It also wouldnt be a solution at all, as every time you change to another song then the options would need to be unchecked each time -- quicker to just copy the lyrics with the fault, then correct them. Thanks for the help though.appreciated

      You can change default keyboard options in macOS settings. Does the error disappear when you turn off the settings @John mentioned?
