Pitch change - best stage to apply processing

I currently download from KV with pitch change applied to suit my voice (usually-2). I then do a few edits in my DAW and send over to ST3. It all sounds good.

It would be useful to occasionally change pitch again in ST3, so my question is:
In terms of quality, when is the best time to apply pitch change - use KV pitch change, use my DAW pitch change, or do all processing in the original key then pitch change in ST3?

I don’t hear any significant difference between the 3 methods but obviously letting ST3 handle the key change is preferable in cases where I want to change pitch again for any given song - to avoid double processing (which definitely degrades the sound noticeably).

Any thoughts? How do you guys do it?

No idea which algorithms KV uses for pitch changes. The one in ST3 is optimized for speed and not for quality. It is fine for adhoc changes to adjust to a new vocalist for example but I would not use it as a permanent solution. So either use the one in your DAW or the one in KV. Trust your ears to decide which sounds better.
