Songs not recognised

I am trying to setup a new iPad. When i import songs into iTunes and go to stagetraxx to add the file it says file not found. And when i go back to iTunes the song is gone. Never had this problem with my old 6 year old iPad. Is this an OP system update problem?

Which version of Stage Traxx are you using? And how do you sync iTunes to your iPad?

Stagetraxx 3.8.20. IOS 18
I load ITunes and go to file sharing and link the files off HD to ITunes into Stagetraxx

So you use iTunes filesharing? Did you refresh the song list after transferring the files? See here: https://stagetraxx.com/user-guide/songs/#refresh-song-list

Yes I do all that. It’s been fine until i bought the new iPad. Sometimes its says “song not recognized” and loading audio file just stays on the screen. I have restart stagetraxx. it deletes from the stagetraxx folder. The songs are exactly the same mp3 files I used on the other iPad.

Do the files have the same size after copying to the iPad as on your computer? You can check the size in the Files app and I think iTunes Filesharing also shows you the size.

Yes they. I have found that either the new IOS, or Stagetraxx don’t like long file names or spaces in file names. Like I said never had this problem with old Ipad

I am not aware of length restrictions in filenames. And spaces are definitely allowed. Can you give an example what does not work?

At the moment Peter I am shortening file names or putting an underscore and seems ok. I am sure it was a file name problem.
