PDF scrolling setup clarity

In the manual, there’s a section on putting in codes for lyrics scrolling. In a later section, some similar codes are given for pdf scrolling. But it’s not clear (at least to me) how I can through the whole procedure to get my pdf to scroll, is this covered better in a video or in documentation? I got into one screen (some sort of pdf edit) that had chord letters and a LOT of everything else like #### and more. Write some code in between all that somewhere? You’re kidding!
I suppose I can get a Bluetooth page pedal, but I would love to be able to use the ST3.

Tap on (i) on a song to get to song details, tap on edit lyrics and enter the scroll tags there.

Thank you - BUT I was there and that screen had EVERYTHING on it -chord names, symbols, etc. How do I find correct/desired measure in my music sheet pdf to write in the code in that screen?
I recall reading that one could use their lyric screen to place markers. Can I do something like that in my pdf screen?
The whole system of writing in the codes seems kind of crude. Am I missing something?

You can write it anywhere. Just make sure it is on a separate line. Even the timestamp order does not matter.

If you don’t need lyrics in that song you can delete everything there.
