Hi, I just recently purchased the full version of the app. I have a new 2024 iPad Air and I cannot figure out how to get lyrics pulled into the app. I got the impression before downloading the app that any songs from my iTunes library would pull in (they did) and that the lyrics would pull in along with the songs (they did not). I then watched your yt video regarding lyrics, which indicates that a pdf is required for each song (apparently despite all of them coming over from my iTunes library). So I created and saved pdfs for about a half a dozen songs, but I cannot get them to pull into the app. Not sure what I am doing wrong and sure can use some help please.
Thanks!
Mark
Cannot get lyrics to pull into app
The easiest way to get lyrics is by using copy & paste from the browser into the lyrics editor in Stage Traxx. But you can also import text files, pdf, rtf and on iOS word. See here: https://stagetraxx.com/user-guide/lyrics/#import-from-file
peter hello and thank u for your response. When I attempt to import them from my files, they are grayed out and I am unable to select and import. Really stuck here and I have a gig this Thursday and was hoping to use the app. Any other suggestions?
Hi Peter…. Ok, I set up a Dropbox account and moved all my pdfs there and I am now able to pull them into the app and into the songs. New challenge is that they do not scroll. I checked in settings and scroll is set to “on”, so I’m not sure where else to look. Also, I watched your video on this…. Manually moving the song position indicator also does not move the lyrics. Manual scroll however is working. So, have made some progress and need further assistance please.
Thanks, Mark
If you don't use timestamps, you need to increase the scroll speed until they start scrolling when you expect them to scroll.
The scroll speed icon does not even populate if I am using a pdf, so there is no way to adjust speed. I tried copying and pasting the lyrics off the internet instead vs using my PDFs and the scrolling functions properly using this approach….but, I cannot get the highlight function to work. Any ideas?
Hi again Peter,
Apologies for not explaining this clearly enough. My expectation is that the lyrics synch to the song like a karaoke system, in that the line that the vocalist should be singing is automatically highlighted thus helping them to stay in time and synch. Is this not a feature of stagetraxx?
Guitarman861 yes you need to timestamp your lyrics as Peter mentioned above. https://stagetraxx.com/user-guide/lyrics/
