Audio glitch on start of song.

Hi Peter, my latest backing track looses audio momentaroly in the begining of play.
Its a normal .m4a format , nothing different to all my other backing tracks as it has been processed and saved in my normal way.
To make this occur you have to exit st3 as you have that song selected , then when you open st3 up again it is already selected as you hit play and as the normal player (which to me is the lyrics and song select screen), window pops up, i get a momentary silence in audio, once the normal player is open this song plays normally after that ,and it does not glitch after that, its only when you exit st3 and open it again for the first time.

I have just noticed in SONG MODE the default setting on restart is not working like the playlist mode , it does not remember your screen selection , it only defaults to TAP TO CLOSE mode,
So when i hit play and as the lyrics screen and song select screen pop up i temporarely loose the audio.
If i am in playlist mode using the same song there is no glitch on restart of ST3 , it only happens if i leave ST3 while in SONG mode , then as i open ST3 again it does not remember my last screen selection and it glitches once only on first play of the song.
Hope this gives you enough info to recreate the problem.

Seems like a small cpu overload as the audio engine is restarted and the screen transition takes place. Try to disable the automatic opening of the lyrics view and see if that works without glitches.

You are correct, when i disable automatic opening of the lyrics view the glitch in audio does not occur, but then i don't get my desired view either which is bad.
The interesting thing is this is not an issue when i use playlist, i can do the same exit and open ST3 in playlist mode, the song plays perfectly as the lyrics pop up, so there is some logic difference in SONG mode that glitches the audio .
I also don't understand why if i exit ST3 with lyrics view and song select window open, why does ST3 not default to this same window, as obviously this is my preferred operating view , why do i have to hit play/ or another inconvenient point in the software to bring up the lyrics and song select , this logic makes no sense, you are assuming for us to what we need , instead of leaving things to us to keep the view we want to see when opening ST3.
If i close ST3 in a particular view, i expect to see the same view when i come back to ST3 so i can make my own choices to where i need to go from there. Without having to always keep hitting the screen to get to where i like to be.
Not everyone wants to start in always the same spot on fire up of ST3.
