Convert Stereo track to Multitrack

Hi Peter,
I have stereo playback set up predominantly

Just wondering if a feature to Convert to a Multitrack option could be implemented,
Basically allowing say an additional click, cue or BV track to be added
Without necessarily adding another instance of the song

So what you are saying is if we create a song in the first place it does not matter what we load int to ST4 it can be modified to be what we want without creating a whole new song.
I think that’s a great idea. 👍
If you have one stereo track used it must be a stereo song as soon as you add another track it becomes a multitrack song, if you only have text in a song without any adio track it is a lyrics only track, if you add or record a guide track the song becomes a stereo track ,
NO NEED TO TELL ST4 what you are planing it should know automatically, this reduces work on the user and freedom to change to anything they need later in time .

Yes, version 4 will get rid of song types. By default when you create a song, it will have no audio files (be a lyrics only song if you will). Then you can add one or more audio tracks. Later on you of course can remove those tracks again.
