I upgraded to stage Traxx 3 and I connect my new M3 iPad to a focusrite 4th gen 2 channel interface. On my iPad for audio routing it is set to speaker and combine usb and headphone output is turned on.
I set all my BT levels. Then disconnected the iPad from the focusrite. When I reconnected the iPad all the levels for the BT were the same as when I set them initially but now they were too hard to hear. They all were initially set at -12db to -14db. When I reconnected the focusrite I had to set the BT volume to +3 to +5db.

Why did this happen?
How can I keep this from happening?

Thanks in advance for your help

I know that some users have this issue when using the combine Headphone option. I was never able to reproduce the issue on my end. I know that iOS stores volume settings for different outputs. So if you reconnect your headphone it will know which setting you used last time. I think that this might be related. So maybe disable the combine option, then connect your heaphone and set the hardware volume to whatever you like. Then do the same for the audio interface (if it has custom volume settings) and then enable the combine option. The volumes should be as you set them.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I don’t actually have headphones connected. I connect my iPad to the Focusrite with a USB C cable.
When I try having the setting off, I had to set the volume on the tracks to like plus 6DB. Then I switch the setting on and I had to change the tracks to -12 to -14 DB. But as soon as I disconnected the USB cable From the phone Or iPad and then reconnected it even though the volumes just moments ago being at -12 to -14 DB or just fine now they were totally not able to be heard.
So connecting the software to an audio interface and having the line out from the audio interface, go to my speakers when I play out, what setting should I use in stage Traxx ? How can I connecting the software to an audio interface and having the line out from the audio interface, go to my speakers when I play out, what setting should I use in stage tracks? How can I keep the volume for the backing tracks so I don’t have to change it back-and-forth. The problem is is I only noticed it being too quiet or too loud when I go to play the next song not a good situation when you’re playing out.
I have tried many apps on my phone and or iPad over the years of playing out your software is by far superior to all the others. Other than this control issue for the backing tracks. Thanks for any assistance.

You only need the Combine Headphones setting when you don't have enough audio outputs on your usb interface. In that case you could use the headphone socket for an additional stereo output. If you only need the outputs of your audio interface, leave that setting off.

Bingo that seemed to do the trick. I plugged and unplugged the audio interface a few times. let it sit disconnected for an hour or so and then when I went back to it, it was just fine. Thanks for your assistance.
