PDF only - choosing songs randomly and manually

My wife and I have spent a lot of time trying to figure this out. Whatever intuitive moves we've tried, none of them work.
I want a VERY SIMPLE use from Stage Traxx:
I don't want audio playback, I don't need a duration, I simply want to call up PDF lyrics easily.
I want to:
Select a (lyrics only) song RANDOMLY from our song list, click or double click or somehow select the song and have the PDF lyrics show up. After we've played the song, again randomly select the next song and have the lyrics show up.
This was extremely easy and intuitive in OnSong and in spite of many tries we cannot get the same functionality from ST.

What exactly does not work?

We have to enter fake durations to every song to accomplish the above. My wife discovered that by accident after we had spent hours with nothing working. Then, when using fake durations, there's a playback area at the bottom we don't need or want (we're using portrait view). We're not using any backing tracks and songs are played live with varying lengths. We're also not using scrolling.

You don't need to set a duration. Just tap on the song title in the mini player to open lyrics view and stay in this view during your gig. You can show and hide the song list at the left with just a single tap.

peter That was not working for us at all, until we plugged in durations. We spent quite a bit of time trying.

Just tap on the song title in the mini player. I can not image why that would not work.

peter I'm having this issue also.

When there is no time it gives us this button in the mini player. This skips to the next song for me.

PatInTheHat you need to put in a duration.

PatInTheHat Tap on "I Feel Home" right hand of the button. That's what I mean with "tap on the song title in the mini player"!
