External Storage

We are a request band with over 1,000 songs. I have been dabbling with stems but after converting about 125 the database size is over 21 gig. Converting them all is not feasible for issue of storage space.

Since the raw files exits in directories currently on the iPad is there any consideration of permitting external storage of these files. Maybe a separate set up could be added identifying where the file directories would be store and if not specified then the default on iPad areas are used.

I am indeed thinking about this option for version 4. But there still some points that I need to think about or validate:

iOS security restrictions when accessing files outside of the app sandbox
How to do iCloud sync with external files? Sync will not be able to upload / download files to an external location
How to handle missing files

I appreciate you even considering this feature. As I said I would like to utilize stems to enhance and or provide for the occasional missing player. I have sufficient storage on the iPad I use for performances (iPad pro) but when I travel I prefer to bring a much smaller and lighter iPad for editing and practice which does not have the same storage. Both are new so not likely to purchase again unless something really changes. External storage would really be a great feature for me. Again thank you. Regardless this is a great product and much more stable than what I was previously using.

Last question - is it at all feasible to project lyrics to audience while I use pdf for playing?

The next update has indeed some external screen enhancements one of which is to select whether pdf files should be shown on the external screen. I guess it will be released in about 1-2 weeks.
