Sending Midi to HX Stomp and Headrush Core Pedals

Hello! First off I love the app, I have the full version and for a live musician like myself this has been a great app for me.

I currently use the app to control my HX Stomp that I use for my bass, for my click/back tracks, and for lyrics. I send midi commands to my HX Stomp via the iphone camera adapter connection and then I use a USB-A to USB-B cable to connect to the hx stomp. Works great, I am able to send midi controls just fine.

My concern now is my guitarist wants to start using these features, he uses a headrush core pedal. We used a 5-pin midi cable and connected via my "out/thru" midi from my hx stomp to his "in" midi. But it was not reading or learning commands from his headrush core pedal.

I checked to see if maybe my global settings were maybe off, but I show everything is correct where I am able to send/receive via "midi +usb" and his global settings are correct also. We are both on different midi channels on our pedals.

Is there something that I am missing or doing wrong?

I am sorry if this question has been asked before but I couldn't find it in the forum and I didn't see any youtube videos regarding connecting two pedal boards. Would greatly appreciate some feedback.

What you would need is a midi thru setting. Usually devices do not send midi data to the midi out that they receive via midi in or usb. So you might need to consult your HX stomp manual if there is an option to enable this feature.
